Doctor Who: Top 10 terrible monsters

In the fifty years of Doctor Who there have been some marvellous monsters and, quite simply, some ludicrous creatures too. The 50th anniversary show coming up in November with David Tennant and Matt Smith is sure to surprise.

The malevolent pepperpots from Skaro, the Daleks, WILL be back. And so will the Zygons! Ehh? The Zygons. They were hardly all that scary, waddling about and whispering their orders into a control panel that looked like a pizza.

But let Zygons be Zygons and rejoice that these ten terrible and dubious creatures won’t be back. Or will they?

1. Monoids

In early Who stories (actually for fifty years) the big constraint has been budget when it comes to monsters. Hartnell foes, the Monoids seem particularly inexpensive though.

2. Krotons
