Richie Sambora just can’t stick with Bon Jovi. After leaving the band this past spring citing “personal matters”, the lead guitarist has now reportedly been fired from Bon Jovi’s current tour, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Sambora was allegedly canned from the tour due to his exorbitant salary demands, according to the report. While the group’s replacement guitarist Philip “Phil X” Xenidis makes $10,000 per month, Sambora — who expressed interest in joining the tour — reportedly rakes in $2-million a month, in addition to 20% of the tour’s overall profits.
The 54-year-old tweeted this spring that he was leaving and has since appeared to be focusing on his daughter and promoting his latest solo album, What About Now, which was released in September 2012. He has two previous albums, 1998’s Undiscovered Soul and 1991’s Stranger in This Town.
