Mariah Carey ‘sacks American Idol co-judge Randy Jackson as manager’


Things are about to get frosty on the American Idol panel as Mariah Carey has sacked her manager and co-judge Randy Jackson, according to US reports.

He’s managed her since 2011 and was largely responsible for her infamous $18million American Idol sign-up salary last year.

But the Touch My Body singer has given the producer – who she was known since the 1990s – the elbow because their ‘hectic schedules’ made for a poor working relationship, according to MTV.

Mariah, 43, is now believed to have moved over to label giants Red Light Management, which looks after stars including Steven Tyler, Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus, for her music comeback.

The news comes as it’s rumoured the entire American Idol panel is to be revamped for the next series in order to attract higher ratings.
