(WTVR) – The Beatles record for most consecutive weeks in the top 10 by a debut album has been broken, according to a report in the Guardian.
Singer Emeli Sandé’s Our Version of Events has been among the United Kingdom’s top 10 albums for a record-breaking 63 weeks. The Beatles’ Please Please Me held the previous record for 50 years.
“It feels quite surreal to even have your name mentioned in the same sentence as The Beatles,” Sandé, 26, told Reuters television.
Sandé recently gave a special performance of her single, Next to Me.
