A bullied schoolgirl hanged herself after being tormented by online trolls about her hair and clothes.
Katie Webb, 12, was found at her home in Evesham, Worcestershire, and could not be revived despite being rushed to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Her former headteacher at Bengeworth First School, David Braham, said: ‘Katie was happy. We remember her vibrant, bouncy and loveable nature. Our thoughts are with the family.’
Katie, who was attending Simon de Montfort Middle School, was mourned by her friends on Facebook and Twitter, who also criticised the bullies that had preyed on her.
Evangeline McCartney tweeted: ‘One thing I hate most is cyber bullying, it doesn’t make you big or cool! RIP Katie.’
Charlotte Spica added: ‘Such a lovely girl was affected by people picking on hairstyles or not wearing Paul’s Boutique or Superdry.’
