Philadelphia Residents Take Part In International Pillow Fight Day

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Pillow fights were taking place Saturday all over the world, including in Philadelphia, for International Pillow Fight Day.

About 50 people, many dressed in pajamas and costumes, showed up with pillows at Washington Square Park near 6th and Walnut Streets and started hitting other participants. Raheem Harvey was dressed a Superman.

“I ran and got this yesterday at the costume store,” Harvey said. “Thank God they had my size.”

Harvey was using a brand new pillow as his weapon.

“I didn’t want to bring a pillow that I drooled on,” he said, “so I actually ran and got this today.”

Kevin Eng was dressed in a pink bunny costume.

“It was Halloween costume that I had lying around, so I thought what a better time to pull it out,” Eng said. “Pillow fights are usually pretty good memories. It reminds me of those childhood…
